Lin-Manuel Miranda Lends His Musical Brilliance
Adding to the film’s excitement is the involvement of multiple Grammy and Tony-Award winning composer Lin-Manuel Miranda, who brings his immense talent to the music of Mufasa.
Known for his work on Encanto and Hamilton, Miranda infuses the film with unforgettable melodies that elevate its emotional resonance. His contributions ensure that Mufasa: The Lion King is not just a visual spectacle but also a musical triumph. “When I read the screenplay, I felt like the places where the songs needed to happen really just popped out,” he shared. “In fact, [for] at least a few of the songs, the titles of the songs I ended up writing were originally lines of dialogue in the screenplay. ‘I always wanted a brother’—there's a line of dialogue—and I built the whole song around that title.”
